Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what ded.rip ("we", "us"), operated by DEDRIP, collects and how we use it. ded.rip is built to collect as little personal information as possible.

What we collect

A hashed sign-in identifier. When you log in with Discord or Google, we request only the minimum scope needed to identify you (an opaque account ID). We immediately convert it into a one-way hash and store only that hash. We do not store your email address, real name, or profile picture from Discord or Google.
Your username — the handle you choose for your page.
Profile content you create — your bio, links, colors, settings, and any images you upload (avatar, background, etc.).
Technical data for security — we temporarily process IP addresses and request metadata to apply rate limits and prevent abuse. These are not used to build a profile of you and are retained only briefly.
Reports — if you report a page, we store the report and a coarse identifier (such as IP) to handle abuse.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. A login token is stored in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in; it is not shared with third parties.

How we use it

To operate your profile page and show it to visitors.
To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
To enforce limits, prevent abuse, and keep the Service secure.
To respond to reports and comply with the law.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We rely on these service providers to run ded.rip:

Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, object storage, database, and abuse/CSAM scanning.
Discord and Google — only to authenticate your sign-in. We receive an account identifier from them; we do not post anything to your accounts.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.

Public information

Your profile page and everything you put on it (username, bio, links, uploaded images) are public by design — anyone with the link can view them. Don't put anything on your page you wouldn't want to be public.

Child safety

ded.rip is not for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. We scan for and report child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to NCMEC as required by law. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact dedripcontact@googlegroups.com and we will delete it.

Data retention

We keep your account and profile data until you delete them or your account. Security logs and rate-limit data are kept only for a short period. Backups and caches may persist for a reasonable time after deletion.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or remove your profile content at any time in the dashboard. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting dedripcontact@googlegroups.com. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing; contact us to exercise them.

Security

We use reputable infrastructure and store sign-in identifiers only as one-way hashes. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International users

ded.rip is operated from, and data is processed in, locations that may differ from where you live. By using the Service you consent to processing in those locations.

Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the date above and, where appropriate, by notice on the Service.
